Connection
We are wired to belong.
Long before language, before memory, before any sense of self — the human body learned what it means to be safe through other people. That's not a metaphor. It's biology. The nervous system is built for connection, and when that connection is disrupted — through trauma, isolation, or systems that were never designed to see you — the body carries that absence like a wound.
At share ONE love, we believe the first step toward healing is not a program. It's a moment. A moment when a young person feels the ground shift beneath them — when they realize someone is actually here, actually showing up, actually not leaving. Sport gives us that moment. On a court, on a field, in a gym — the body moves, the walls come down, and connection becomes possible again.
We do not come into these facilities with answers. We come with presence. And presence, for youth who have spent years surviving the absence of it, is everything.
